8th Ferrybox Workshop Oslo, Norway, 17-19 October 2017

After completion of the EU-funded project ‘FerryBox’ in 2005 the
FerryBox community wanted to improve the combined knowledge. Therefore
the FerryBox workshops were originated in order to share experience and
knowledge about the use of different underway systems.

PRECYM was associated to the talk made by Carlson Bengt at Oslo, for the 8th
Ferrybox Workshop. The aim of the presentation was to present how
automated observations and monitoring of algal blooms and phytoplankton
abundance and diversity are facilitated thanks to automated observations
made from automated platforms using flow cytometry and imaging in flow
methods. Some pictures taken by the Cytosense were used in the
presentation. The CHROME project (PI : Melilotus THYSSEN) , in which
PRECYM was also associated, was presented as well in the oral
presentation.
